Aware of our client’s need for a contemporary office space, we set about installing a garden building which would be compatible with the demands of modern work.

The Problem
Our client, based in Teesside, was keen on having a well-insulated and soundproofed garden building installed, with intentions of converting it into a functional office for working from home. Left to decide on an appropriate design based on several specific requests, we opted for a uPVC construction. Proposed initially was a spacious wood-effect build, with black detailing, a flat roof and several windows towards the back of the design to make the most of natural light.
Well aware of the client’s requests and budget, we chose uPVC as the material of choice, due to longevity, appearance and practicality. Work continues year-round, therefore we ensured this particular structure was built using high energy efficient building materials. Creating a warm, dry space, structural integrity was ensured thanks to the attached steel frame structure, ideal for damp conditions, remaining steady and firm when in contact with moisture content.
The Outcome
Toward the final stages of the project, we focused on the details, ensuring the space was electricity-ready, and able to accommodate the technology, gadgets and furniture of a dedicated home office space. Well-insulated as standard and with a secure custom entrance (double doors for improved accessibility), the garden building was up and running.

Showcasing the final product to our client, we were delighted to hear that the project not only met, but exceeded expectations. Having showcased the versatility and adaptability of uPVC in crafting tailor-made garden spaces, this particular project showcased our ability to adjust and adapt to meet specific client needs. The individual in question now has a resourceful office space to access 24/7, 365 days a year – all within the comfort of their garden.
