The Brief
The Spacious Garden Home Office project was located at the rear of the garden, strategically placed to provide privacy and a sense of tranquillity. The main goal was to create a dedicated, comfortable and flexible home office solution that helped the client be more productive when working remotely, while also offering the versatility to adapt to other uses, providing extra value beyond a traditional office setting.
The Process
The design focused on work efficiency and comfort, with ample space to accommodate desks, chairs, storage units and essential office equipment. The layout helped to facilitate a clutter-free and organised space that promotes focus and productivity. While the structure was designed as a home office, its flexibility means that it can be easily adapted to other uses, such as a creative studio, home gym or simply an area to relax, adding lasting value. Large windows and optional skylights were incorporated to flood the space with natural light, creating a bright and uplifting atmosphere. Natural light has been proven to boost mood, reduce eye strain and improve overall mental wellbeing, meaning that this layout is perfect for long workdays. On top of this, high-quality insulation and efficient ventilation systems were installed to provide year-round comfort, whether during the heat of summer or the chill of winter.
Finally, the office was positioned at the garden’s far end to provide a quiet retreat from everyday household distractions. This separation allowed the client to establish clear boundaries between their work and personal life.
