Manchester Decking Transformation

17/04/2024

An ambitious operation to completely replace timber decking, which had fallen into a state of disrepair. We settled on uPVC decking as a suitable and modern alternative.

The Problem

Fitrite received contact from an individual in need of decking restoration and replacement, due to parts of their existing timber set up beginning to rot. This particular client, based in Manchester, was working on a limited budget, therefore we had to plan extensively and execute our installation with this restriction in mind.

Having reviewed the condition of the worn-out wooden panels, coming to the conclusion that replacements would certainly be needed, we settled on uPVC as a capable solution. Ensuring not only longevity and durability but also bringing forth a range of aesthetic and functional advantages, the client was more than happy with uPVC for these proposed changes, as it is not only sustainable, but looks great!

The Outcome

This project took place over a period of 3 days, with matching planters, fencing and a level surface installed alongside. From inception to completion, our team kept the rest of the garden space in mind, and fulfilled the project to the exact preferences of the client. The individual in question was extremely happy with their final installation, and can expect durable, weatherproof decking now for years to come.

Following completion of this project, our team was equally delighted with the transformation from beginning to end. Our endeavours not only resolved existing structural issues, but also highlighted the positive attributes of uPVC decking when installed and cared for correctly. Anti-rot and anti-split, as well as being covered by a 10-year warranty, our client remains safe in the knowledge that their decking won’t fall victim to the same issues as before.
