The Client Brief
The homeowners had invested in a premium hot tub but did not want it sitting on an isolated concrete pad. The Design Challenge
The hot tub imposed concentrated loading and required ongoing access to service components. Splash water, wet feet and year-round exposure also meant the deck surface had to be appropriate for a moisture-prone setting. The design needed to make the hot tub feel built-in while still allowing technicians to reach the equipment when required.
